Premarital Assessment

We’re not just guessing at your areas of strength and areas where growth may be needed. The first step in our premarital program is completing the premarital assessment designed by Prepare/Enrich. The assessment is one of the most researched instruments, with over 1200 published articles supporting it’s validity and reliability.

It’s a super simple process:

After paying for your preferred program, we’ll send each of you a link to the online assessment platform. You will each create a login and complete your assessment independently. It is crucial you complete the assessment on your own and do not discuss the questions/answers with your partner until our initial session when we provide you with your Couples Report and discuss the areas of strength and growth.

The Couples Report is amazing! It provides a ton of information for you to use in preparation for your marriage and provides us a guide as to how we proceed with the follow up sessions, should you choose the full premarital program.

What’s Covered in the Assessment?

  • Strength and Growth Areas

    A general overview of the following areas:

    Communication, Conflict Resolution, Partner Style and Habits, Financial Management, Leisure Activities, Sexual Relationship, Friends and Family, Roles and Responsibilities, and Spiritual Beliefs.

  • Relationship Dynamics

    In this section, we compare you and your partner’s level of:

    Assertiveness, Self Confidence, Avoidance, and Partner Dominance

  • Personal Stress Profile

    This section examines each individual's personal stress level over the last year. Stress levels are based on responses to 25 common sources of personal stress.

  • Couple Map

    In this section, we address Couple Closeness and Couple Flexibility.

  • Family Map

    In this section, we cover Family Closeness and Family Flexibility.

  • SCOPE Personality Scales

    This portion of the assessment consists of five dimensions based on the Five Factor Model of Personality. The five dimensions and the couple's results are described below:

    Social, Change, Organized, Pleasing, and Emotionally Steady
